- Only a parent or guardian (18+) can make an account and add the family.
- No ads, no tracking, no chat, no strangers. Your family's rhymes are seen only in your account.
- On a child's profile, anything about money, the account, photos, sharing or leaving the app asks a grown-up first.
- Learn this listens on the device only. Nothing your child says is recorded or sent.
Who provides the information
Children don't sign up and aren't asked to type in personal details. A parent or guardian creates the account, adds the children's names (and class, if they like), adds family members and, if they choose, family photos.
By doing this, the parent gives the consent the law asks for on the child's behalf. That includes verifiable parental consent under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and parental consent under the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
What we hold about a child
- The child's name, and class if added.
- Photos of the child, if the parent adds them.
- The child's cartoon character and the rhyme videos that star them.
- Their profile on Who's watching, with a character or picture the parent picks.
- What they watched (for Continue watching) and their Learn this stars and level.
We use these only to make and show the family's rhymes. We don't track children, build profiles of them, show them ads, or sell their data.
Photos of children
Photos go to an image service only after the parent agrees in the app. A grown-up check comes first on a child's profile.
- The photos are used only to draw the family's characters.
- They are not used to train AI models.
- They are kept only while the account is open.
Read AI and family photos.
Learn this and the microphone
When your child sings a line back in Learn this:
- The microphone is on only while the lesson is listening, after the device asks for permission.
- Words are checked by a speech model inside the app. No recording leaves the device and nothing is kept, except the score and stars.
- If a phone or tablet can't run the built-in model, it may use its own speech recognition (Apple's or Google's) for that lesson.
The grown-up check
On a child's profile, the app asks a grown-up to hold the lock and answer a sum before:
- buying or changing a plan;
- changing the account or signing out;
- agreeing to send photos for drawing;
- sharing a rhyme;
- opening any link outside the app;
- deleting the account.
No social features
There is no chat, no comments, no friend lists and no way for strangers to contact your child or see your family's videos. A rhyme's Share button sends only the rhyme's name and our website address, never your family's video or photos.
Parents' choices
- Review or change your child's details in the app at any time.
- Remove a photo in My family, or delete the whole account (how). Everything is erased within 7 days.
- Ask us for a copy of what we hold, or to delete something specific: support@bukkid.tv.
If you think a child has given us personal information without a parent, write to support@bukkid.tv and we will delete it.
